Learn about the history of glass and the stained-glass window from the Middle Ages to the present day through an explanation of the medieval stained-glass windows in the cathedral and the exhibitions of contemporary stained-glass windows in the Museum of Stained Glass.
From past to present, our qualified heritage guides take you on a journey through nine centuries of art and light.
The tour includes:
- Admission to the Museum of Stained Glass.
- A demonstration in the museum studio of the traditional technique used to make a leaded stained-glass window.
- A guided tour of the exhibitions on show in the centre and an explanation of contemporary stained-glass techniques.
- A guided tour of the cathedral including the main features of the monument and its medieval stained-glass windows.
